PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Splainin, LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Lazy Podcaster desktop software, website, licensing, downloads, plugin directory, support, and related online services (collectively, the "Services"). The Company is a Wyoming limited liability company located in Sheridan, Wyoming.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the Services you use, we may collect:

Local project content: Projects, drawings, imported media, scripts, narration, and exports are stored and processed locally on your device. The usage statistics listed above do not include that content, project names, or exported files. Lazy Podcaster receives project content only when you explicitly submit it to us or invoke a network-enabled feature that requires transmission.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide downloads and online features; issue, validate, and manage licenses; operate and tailor the plugin directory; understand aggregate product usage; maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; respond to support requests; communicate service, legal, or purchase information; comply with law; and improve the Software and Services.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal or contact information. We may disclose information:

4. Optional Plugins and Third-Party Services

Lazy Podcaster Plugins may connect to third-party text-to-speech, artificial intelligence, media, publishing, YouTube, TikTok, Meta, or other services. These integrations are optional and operate only when you install or invoke them. Information required to perform your request may be sent to the provider, directly or through the Software, using an account or API key you supply or authorize.

AI Assistant: If you use the included AI Assistant allowance without your own Gemini API key, Lazy Podcaster's Cloudflare-hosted service processes your question, relevant User Guide excerpts, recent in-memory conversation, and any Screen or Document text context you enable, then sends the request to Google Gemini for a text response. The Screen option supplies an image as context; it does not request image generation. The service also processes a pseudonymous installation credential, quota counts, request size, status, timing, app build, and ordinary network/security data to provide the feature and prevent abuse. It is designed not to log prompt text, project content, screenshots, credentials, or AI response bodies. If you configure your own Gemini key, the desktop app sends Assistant requests directly to Google instead of using Lazy Podcaster's included-access service.

Third-party providers process information under their own privacy policies and terms. Lazy Podcaster does not control their data retention, security, pricing, availability, or use of information. Review a provider's policies before enabling an integration. Do not submit another person's personal information unless you have the necessary rights and consent.

5. Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including licensing, support, security, legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and applicable law. Locally stored projects and usage-statistics records remain on your device until you remove them, reset the application data, or uninstall the Software.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information held by Lazy Podcaster, and to appeal or complain to a regulator. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions, identity verification, and retention obligations. Because core project content is stored locally, Lazy Podcaster generally does not possess that content and cannot retrieve or delete it from your device.

To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to verify and fulfill the request.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices, Services, or legal obligations change. The latest version and its revision date are available at https://www.lazypodcaster.com/privacy. When required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
